Sam walton

Sam Walton
he was a very kind generous and very old fashioned man. He was very up there in business and being a salesmen he really knew how to get things done and sell for as less as he could. When Same made walmart he showed that more people will come if the prices were lower.I think that it is very crucial to set a goal just like Sam did when he made his goal of beating out k-mart and Sears. He finally accomplished that goal and he did not worry about a thing he knew that Wal-mart was strong and could get through the rough times and the good times. I think that many people looked up to Sam when they had his stores because he also showed that he cared about the employees and helped them and pumped them out just to go out and do there job. I really learned that you have to believe in yourself and not let the world or the economy get you down especailly when something you worked so hard to get is going to fall you, you and your business have to keep going and don't let the others beat you down. Sam was a great man and showed that money isn't everything and its not worth spending all on yourself share the wealth and you will keep the world going and make it a better place for kids that can't go to school or that need the money to go to school.

martha stewart was also someone who cam from a family that was not very wealthy but could keep there feet on the ground and was stable she had brothers and sisters and was a very bright girl. Martha stewart really excelled in her highschool life and took it with her in college. Martha became a very beautiful model that chagned her life and put her i nthe spotlight. When she got on glamour magazine everyone knew she was determined for sucess. At nineteen martha married and moved in with her husband and dropped everything. They were in desperate need of help so martha quit the high fashioned life and went for the business life. pretty soon things got tired and stressful and she needed time to hang out with her and family so she quit her job and the husband supported them. Martha then came up with her own caterering company and that is when she really got out there and things started booming. Right away someone signed her for her own book and things took off from there. Martha got her own television show, her own magazine, her own little store, and even more sucess then ever imagined. by then she really had forgotten about her family and moved on and she could never be happy she never really had a real home martha became something that took her personal life with her to the cameras. Martha really strived for what she wanted and got what she deserved a really good life. i would take this and learn so much from her and learn how to take risks and strive for what i want and never give up on anything.

WENDYS

Dave thomas was a man that started out from rags to riches he was adopted and never really thought he had a chance at anything. He quit highschool just to help his dad make ends meet and have a job. He had a full time job by the time he was fifteen and worked at a restaraunt. He was there so much that they decided to adopt him to the restaurant and keep him there. He really didn't have anything else worth going for at the time. Dave finally moved and went to the war and then the chicken business where he hand cooked everything. He was the part owner and finally he met the Kentucky Fried chicken guy who made dave thomas filthy rich. dave thomas owned some of KFC and had so much going for him then. He knew he had enough money in the bank that he could retire from all that hard work and getting KFC off the ground and for people to start buying it. After he retired he knew he could not sit around so he went and made a stand with some juicy old fashioned hamburger. He named it after his daughter and she became the logo. Wendys went from nothing to something in all of just one year. He never could be number one but he tried he got there after he made a campaign and took a turn after people started getting really picky about there hamburgers. Wendys does not cut corners and he really made difference and had an old fashioned hamburger. Dave thomas really made a difference. A key thing about him it really showed that you can have nothing and you really can become something.

Killing the Entrepreneurial Spirit

He was determined to leave “a footprint in the
sand”—or at least in a lot of sand traps.
This is the built-in advantage of every
entrepreneur.

In this point here i can relate to it because when i am playing baseball or when i am working i want to stand out and make a difference. I want people to know who i am and make a mark in the world. When i am out on the field for baseball i want all eyes on me i want people to see me and i show them that i am good enough, if not even better then what they expect. I want to leave that footprint just like that man in this entry wants to do. Each person wants to stand out or make a mark. Every where its a competition, no matter what you are doing. It also relates to me because everyperson on my baseball team wants to leave that mark. Many people are crazy to be in the spot light and if you wait patiently you will get to leave that mark but you have to be excited and be willing to work for it.

Ray kroc

Ray Kroc was the owner of Mcdonalds after he bought it from the brothers. He was an amazing business man that knew what he wanted and he strived for it. He was very clean and had everything going for him

When Ray was a young boy he had nothing he wasn't rich and all he wanted to do was go to war. by the time he was about to set sail the war had ended and so did his dream. Ray then started getting into business where he ended up managing many small businesses. He opened a soda shop and made a 5 power mixer for sodas. Then he met the Mcdonalds Brothers the mcdonalds brothers took on Ray Kroc where he went out and purchased new sites for the mcdonalds. Everything he based on was family all he wanted was a family restraunt and by a church is where he would make most of his money. Ray was very smart and made alot of money he was a great business man that he knew he was getting chipped out when he wasn't making any money so he bought Mcdonalds and it turned huge. Mcdonalds was the best idea ever.

Ray moved on and Had Billions of dollars and died in his 80's where his fortune was left to his wife. Most of his money was to charity. To be a man who had nothing and became a billionare is a great man and knows how to run his own business even if he didn't start it. he treated it like he invented it. Thats a great business man.

20 min Presentation/Video

Who invented the moutain bike?
Created my consumers -- $58 BILLION
How do we organize ourselves?
With out organizations there
won't be special companies anymore.
Can we survive on volunteers?
If so we need to be organized and
what about the changes for public funding

The inventor knows what the invention is for
invention is a moment of creation
most creativity is collabaritive
inventors can work out purposes for products
Main idea over all was that consumers are starting to
come out with way more products then regular, big high companies.

First Post

we had been given this assignment by Mr.Ross. The assignment was to come up with a problem and figure out a solution to this problem. The problem that my group came up with was to sell unhealthy food because our school is on a health kick now. We Figured that if we wanted junk food, why wouldn't they want junk food? So we had three days to put together an and make a proifit. We came up with the idea of selling Cupcakes and Pop, we sold the cupcakes for $.50 and the pop for $1.00. We sold cupcakes on friday and monday, and we sold pop on Monday only. All together we started off with $5.00 and we ended up making $45.00 all together our ending profit. We had reached quite abit amount of money and it shows that you can take a problem and find a solution whenever possible, it does not matter how many days or how long.
